Strangest Laws That Still Exist

  1. This is no joke and has landed people in jail around the world! In countries where the rules change frequently and punishments are extreme, I will avoid. I am no longer 10 feet tall and bulletproof. I think it is unfortunate and borderline tragic both because many could be jailed or worse for violating a law in ignorance or presuming you will get by (when you won’t!) and also because people will learn to avoid certain countries or regimes and the people of that country go largely misunderstood.
Do you know why you cannot harvest Rock weed after dark? I understand the chewing gum law in Singapore. As a general rule, Singapore is very clean and orderly. People were not catching on to the aversion many had for scraping chewed gum from under tables, behind poles and strange places led to a fair (or unfair) amount of disgust from the individuals who were responsible for scraping it off. People could not carry paper when chewing gum for proper disposal or find an appropriate method for disposing of their chewed gum. So it is now forbidden.

I also find the bicycle movement rules through certain neighborhoods as being remarkably curious!👀 Does anyone know why these laws exist?

What fish is off limits after dark? With the exception of laws put into place to harass a certain race or religion, which can understandably be objectionable, most of these laws have an interesting background. Fascinating!
